These nine stars are the seven bright stars of the Big Dipper plus two hidden guardian stars. Their names are: Dubhe (Tianshu), Merak (Tianxuan), Phecda (Tianji), Megrez (Tianquan), Alioth (Yuheng), Mizar (Kaiyang), Alkaid (Yaoguang), Dongming, and Yinyuan.
